What is a Cat Cafe?

Cat cafés were created to provide people who are not able to afford or allowed to keep pets in their small apartments the opportunity to play with happy, healthy cats in a safe environment. The cat café concept started in the 1990s in Taiwan; however, this trend has slowly been moving to the United States. While the original purpose is still valid, American cat cafés put a new spin on the concept by showcasing cats, provided by local nonprofit cat rescues or local shelters, for adoption.

No worries. Most people are just looking to spend quality time with some wonderful felines. Whether considering adopting or not, every visit to a cat café supports the cause of finding permanent homes for these rescued felines.

Why do you charge an entrance fee to the Cat Lounge?

Cats like to eat, and have a comfy safe environment to roam in. Unfortunately we haven't won the lottery, so we have to charge admission. These fees pay for the basic operations of the Cafe and the care of our cats.

Our expert team of Fur Babies give us so much love, so many laughs and much needed cuddles that we want to share the experience with others. They are what led us to open a Cat Cafe so that everyone can experience the wonders of cats.
